Harper won't invalidate marriages. As much as I hate to say it, he's not an idiot (and I've lived with Conservative idiots in provincial power my entire life.) He may work to prevent future ones, but I'm reasonably confident he knows better than to crack that can of worms, at least in the first year or two.

(I, however, voted sensibly. After strongly considering one Trevor Grover of the "Canadian Action Party", because it is the combined names of my boyfriend and my favourite Muppet, I got sensible and instead went for the Greens. Because when Jack Layton lets you down, there's nowhere else to turn.)
