What is your alias?
Mweevil oftwoweevils
How did you choose it?
Well, when we decided to have a joint LJ, we wanted a name that would reflect that. People on our flist began referring to us as Mweevil and Kweevil, so there you go.
What fandoms do you write for?
Mostly NCIS, though there has been dabbling in SGA and Numb3rs and some vague talk of Supernatural and/or CSI:NY.
What stories are you currently working on?
Gibbs/DiNozzo porn, possibly something for the current![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
ncis_flashfic challenge, several other NCIS WiPs.
What fandom did you start in?
H:LOTS -- although I wrote Return of the Jedi and Lord of the Rings (pre-movie) fanfic before I knew what fanfic was. I might have even written some Anne of Green Gables stories when I was a wee thing.
What is your deepest darkest fic-writing secret?
I'm not really a writer like the rest of y'all. I mean yes, I do write, but I don't need to write the way other writers do. I'm perfectly content to go a good long while without writing. When I write fanfiction, it's usually because I feel like I need to fix a storyline or fill in a gap of some kind. Sometimes it's in response to reading a really bad attempt at something and then trying to do better. The first fanfic I ever wrote (Ballard/Stivers in H:LOTS *shudder*) was simply to prove it could be done.
I also LOVE the feedback. That's another reason I don't consider myself to be a "real" writer. If there weren't people out there who wanted to read my/our stuff, I wouldn't bother. I couldn't be one of those people who just writes to fulfill a creative urge. Yes, the urge to create is there, but the urge to entertain is much stronger.
Do you have any quirks/habits in your writing?
More than I'd like to admit. I re-use phrasing. I unconsciously steal phrasing from books I've read more than once -- Tom Clancy, Thomas Harris, Jean Auel, Ian Fleming, Michael Crichton, John Grisham, Lucy Maud Montgomery, David Simon, and Herman Melville might have some serious issues with some of my fanfic. *grin*
Do you have any fanfiction pet peeves?
Just the usual: Poor or nonexistent editing, lousy characterization, pairings that squick me, and shoddy research.
Do you have an OTP?
If I have one, it's Gibbs/DiNozzo. I pretty much won't read anything that has Gibbs with anyone but DiNozzo and vice versa. I have and will, however, write them with other people in AUs or stories set before they met. While I like McShep, I don't mind reading Sheppard/Other. I have trouble seeing McKay with anyone other than Sheppard. It's the same with H:LOTS -- I'm very fond of Bayliss/Kellerman -- can't see Tim with anyone else, but my Mikey is allowed to get around.
If you could get someone to write a fic for you right now, who would it be?
Oh man. I hate to answer this because I really wouldn't want anyone to feel obliged to respond. I hate asking anyone for anything - especially when I owe so much feedback and writing to so many people. And also, if I made such a list, I'd be sure to leave out someone who rocks.
