Once again, it's Monday and, once again, I barely went anywhere near the computer this weekend, so my flist's at skip=I'm afraid to look.
Ah well. I'll catch up. Probably. I'm still ploughing my way through the backlog of freaking amazing fic. Feedback is forthcoming.

It's been fun answering the questions from the Question Meme. Feel free to toss a few more at me.

- Came home early on Friday because I had a headache and all the words stopped making any kind of sense. I mixed myself a Flor De Caña and lime juice cocktail, then lay on the bed eating lime corn chips and watching the World Cup. When K got home, we moved the party to the living room. Ecuador beat Poland and the wave of silence in our building was deafening.
- Dentist appointment Saturday morning. I like my new dentist. He was very patient with my nervousness, allowed K to stay in the room with me, and let me watch the England/Paraguay game on the tv in the ceiling. Then it was off to the lab to get some blood drawn so I can make a doctor's appointment and then stock up on all the good drugs.
- Does novocaine make anyone else dopey? I was pretty much useless when we got home. K tidied the place up in preparation for the arrival of the home appraisal guy -- all part of the line of credit process. You know, I forget sometimes that our place is a little...unusual. I suppose most people don't have a giant Che Guevara poster in their kitchen, a living and dining room full of mid-century furniture, a disused radio cabinet in the hall, and eight trillion books needing to be shelved.
- It was fun watching T&T play
IkeaSweden to a draw. - We relaxed for awhile after the appraiser left, then made a run up to the cemetery to primp the family plot before the big reveal on Sunday. I have to say, it looks pretty damn good -- a couple of dwarf pines and a red bush (the name of which I never remember), four purple kale plants, some wee little ground-cover like flowers in white and different shades of purple, and a purple pansy. There's a little black wire fence around the whole thing. It has a vaguely Goth look, but it's pretty cool.
- Speaking of Goth, my Abby clothes arrived! The pants are so cool! I'll need to hem them a little before I wear them, but they rock! I also got this very cool long black skirt with a lace overskirt, a black cargo skirt with off white top-stitching, and a black and pink striped tank top. I'm quite pleased. Hot Topic rocks. I'm a little pissed with Torrid, though. They sent the wrong size tank top and I can't send it back because it was on clearance. Anyone I know who would fit into this top probably wouldn't wear it. Argh.
- Saturday night, we finally got around to watching the NCIS DVDs. We watched Yankee White with the DPB commentary on. He's pretty much what I expected him to be. I was delighted to learn that he thinks as highly of Michael Weatherly's acting as I do and allows him to do a lot of ad lib. We also watched High Seas. OMG, teh gay! I'm torn between wanting to watch all of them at once and wanting to savour them.
- Sunday we were up early and over to the brother's for breakfast then an excursion to the family plot. Everyone seemed to like the gardening that K and I did. In disturbing news, we discovered freshly-turned earth on my uncle's grave. We're assuming that his wife popped her clogs, but it's kind of odd that nobody told this side of the family. I don't recall whether the grave was disturbed when we were there on Saturday, but I KNOW it was undisturbed on Wednesday night, so whatever happened is fairly recent. Weird.
- Went grocery shopping and then re-potted all the plants on the balcony and tidied up out there. We still have a little work to do, but it's looking really nice. I'm seriously thinking that we need a digital camera. So many things I want to take pictures of and share, but it's a giant pain getting stuff developed, transferred to disc, and then uploaded.
- Made a really good and surprisingly healthy chicken caesar for dinner.
- *yawn*
