CAT ON THE BED
episode the first

(Ben jumps on the bed like the hounds of hell are after him)

M: Tonight's guest cat is...Ben!

(Ben eats some Pringle crumbs that have been left on the bed by someone who shall remain nameless)

M: Ben, can you tell us a little about yourself?

Ben: I have testicles! which is a lie

M: Anything else you'd like to share with our audience?

Ben: Man cats have testicles! I eat Pringles!

M: Sadly, yes, you do. (glares at K, the Pringle enabler)

(Ben jumps down)

M: So...that was Ben. Stay tuned tomorrow for more exciting discussions of testicles! And possibly a demonstration of how to keep them clean with furious grooming.

(cue theme music, which sounds suspiciously like a Bhangra version of the closing theme from "I Love Lucy").

I would watch this show! In fact, I think we get the network that it airs on--I was watching the cat-in-a-box show earlier this morning. (It was a very dramatic episode--the small cat jumped ONTO the box and ended up IN the box with a mighty crash, and then the flaps fell closed above her and she couldn't get OUT of the box right away.)

I think I've seen that show! Have you ever seen the episode where one cat somehow gets under the box and runs around madly, trying to get out and dragging the box along with her, and all the other cats flee in terror?

I, too, would watch this show! My cat (Punchy DeLeon, named after Lewis Black's character on H:LotS) would sound like this:

"Do you have any food?"

"I can has noms now?"

"Run a trickle of water in the bathtub for me so I can drink water that's somehow SO MUCH BETTER than the water in my dish?"

"What's this on the floor? Can I eat it?"

"No, I won't sleep next to you ever again. I'm going to sleep in the basement."
