I am starving. I am very, very hungry. Why? Because I didn't pack a lunch for myself this morning. I was kind of dopey having been awake most of the night with freezing rain and wind pounding my bedroom windows, punctuated by thunder and lightning. Also, I thought I might be able to get out of here at 13:00 today. No such luck. *mutter*

[livejournal.com profile] gjaneo asked us to let y'all know about the FanFic Lovers Sail-Away Adventure. It's three days of fanfic fun in October, sailing from Florida to the Bahamas (and, presumably, back again if Captain Sparrow doesn't get you).

Full details are available at G Jane's journal or via the cruise website. The price seems very reasonable to me.

I'm not sure if the missus and I will be aboard. Things are so up in the air, employment-wise, moving-wise, etc., that we're not making any firm plans for awhile. I am hoping we can attend CON.TXT in June. I love any opportunity to get near Baltimore. Throw in lots of slash and I am so there. Assuming we can get the time off, &etc.

Have I mentioned that I'm HUNGRY?? I could go downstairs and buy something, but I hate to do that when I've got lots of perfectly good food in my fridge at home. Where I'll be in less than 3 hours. I can stand it. Probably. *eyes year-old package of instant oatmeal*

*sympathises with your hunger*

I was in exactly the same position yesterday. I ended up leaving work an hour early and taking work related reading home with me just so that I could go home and eat.

Have a virtual pizza?

Pizza! *hearts*

I was out the door at 3 on the dot and made it home in record time for a Friday. My mother had dropped off some leftover turkey so I had me a nice sandwich and a salad. I may live.

I can so relate to the hunger issue. I can share cyber-Oreos, cyber-crackers, or cyber-cereal. No calories either.

I hope you and the missus will be able to join us for the cruise. We have lots of fun activities planned and the list keeps growing.

Why is it that one little word always provokes such a Pavlovian response? Dare I say the age old oatmeal packet will be replaced with something round with chocolate on the outside and yum on the inside?

Just back from grocery shopping and, yeah, I bought some Oreos. A nice tall glass of milk and lunch is ready!
